Merr-Sonn Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon


The Z-6 rotary blaster cannon was a heavy weapon that fired a massive spray of blaster bolts at a target. It was similar to a heavy repeating blaster, except it did not require a tripod to operate and thus could be carried by a single heavy weapon specialist. The Z-6 was large and unwieldy and required training to use effectively.[1]

Working around a basic limitation in capabilities inherent in typical man-portable blaster weapons, the Z-6 incorporated a rotary assembly of six barrels, each with its own actuating chamber, wrapped around a coolant-lined core. The galven circuitry used in the blaster meant that the Z-6 had both a high cyclic discharge rate and good cooling, allowing for a tremendous sustained rate of fire (up to roughly 166 discrete full-powered shots per second).

Despite its impressive firepower, the weapon had several notable limitations, specifically the high rate of energy pack consumption, significant weight, and powerful recoil. The weapon is thus considered a special-issue arm deployed in specific situations, rather than a general purpose weapon. Efforts by Merr-Sonn to counteract its limitations were not completely successful, and variants that addressed those issues tended to end up being trade-offs. The rotary blaster cannon required a power pack to operate; after 20 shots, the power pack must be replaced. This weapon could also be attached to a power generator for longer use. It weighed 16 kg.

Microsensory Mesh Gloves

Shipsuit

A shipsuit, manufactured by Ayelixe/Krongbing Textiles, was a multipocketed coverall made of a tough synthmesh fabric that could last through years of regular use. The simple trappings of ship mechanic or a skilled technician who wants their tools on them at all times and don't mind getting dirty. Could be modified to be a light weight envirosuit.

Mercenary Pilot Bandolier

A mercenary pilot bandolier. A clothing item wearable by most humanoid species. This item can be used to carry several items and leave them within range for wearer to quickly get to them. Perfect for tools, blaster clips and other items that could be needed on a moments notice.

Water Purifier

Its dangerous business stepping off your ship. From wild beasts, hostile natives and less reputable individuals crossing your path, sometimes its easy to forget that not all worlds a hospitable for every being.  One such important concern is clean drinking water. Carrying a water purification system can be vital to your survival out on an unknown alien world. The WPR-60 is one of the best portable systems on the market perfect for the Explorer going deep in to unknown regions.
    Item can used to negate loss of strain due to environmental conditions. In certain events a Boost die may be added to a survival roll.

Spacer's Chest


People are always moving around in the galaxy. Very rarely does a space hang his hat in one place. Even if they own their own, they never know when they are going to have to ditch their ship on some Outer Rim ball of dirt. An experience spacer keeps their belongings in a spacer's chest. They come in many shapes and sizes and usually decorated to reflect the owners personality or show the wear and tear from a constant traveler.
   Spacer's chests are very durable. Most come with padded compartments for fragile items. Anything inside is protect for the most part short of direct blaster fire. They are vacuum sealed but won't survive re-entry burn. Most come with simple and durable locks but you'd be smart to replace it with an electronic combo lock. A spacers crate is a place to put personal items, a spare blaster (hold outs fit well in the padded compartments) maybe some emergency equipment, rations and maybe a few credit chips hidden in a secret flap for a rainy day.
     A standard chest can have an encumbrance of 15 but have a cumbersome 2 quality that grows 1 every 5 encumbrance that is filled to a total of cumbersome 5

Portable Clip Recharger


Military Units on the go seldom have time to wait for power packs and blaster clips to be recharged nor do they have the ability to carry a large number of spare clips. A Portable Clip Recharger can go a long to solving such a problem.
    The recharge is a long, thin metal box with six slots. The Soldier merely need to jam their clips into the appropriate slot(adapters are provided for many common power pack types.) In ten minutes the clips are charged and ready for action. The recharager is good for 10 clip recharges or five power pack before it needs recharging from a power generator or fusion lantern
   A Portable Clip Charger is another way for a character to deal with an "Out of Ammo" [Threat] but will cost two maneuvers. (one to plug in the clip and a another to reload the charged clip). It will also take an equivalent of ten minutes in terms of turns. (Any where for three to four full turns before you can reload the clip but this is variable on the GM's word.) Its a risky option but better than being completely out of the fight. Though it may be more expensive than extra rounds is takes up 1 less encumbrance than a fusion lantern and can be used to be power other devices the average spacer group may have.)
